Standing Character

Some things
are
definitely worth
creating.

Who am I?

My name is Angus Dumaresq, a graduate computer science student ready to embark on my professional career. My enthusiasm for creative thinking and problem-solving has fueled my passion for software development. Driven by a commitment to excellence, I am a natural communicator and highly punctual, thriving both as a team player and as an independent achiever. Please take a moment to explore my website, built using React, or connect with me on GitHub and LinkedIn.

Education

I recently completed my studies, earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with majors in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity from the University of Wollongong. My time at university was a transformative journey, both academically and personally. During this period, I forged lifelong friendships, engaged with talented peers and academics, and gained invaluable life lessons that broadened my perspective.

My educational background has played a pivotal role in driving my passion for software development. I have developed proficiency in a range of areas including algorithms, data structures, database management, networking, software methodology, version control systems, and cybersecurity principles.

Skills
  • SpringSVG

    Springboot

    With Java being one of my favourite languages, I have excelled in leveraging the power of the Spring framework with experience in using modules like Spring MVC and Spring Security.

  • SpringSVG

    React

    Having used React to build some of the javascript functions for this site. I understand the idea and useOfReactHooks(() => {
    console.log("I Love React")
    })

  • SpringSVG

    Git

    Throughout university and personal projects, I have used the Git version control system and Github to share and collaborate with others. I'm also pretty familiar with Git Bash too.

  • SpringSVG

    Learning

    I love new and cool things! From new frameworks to new design patterns and even a few funny jokes. A SQL query walks into a bar, walks up to two tables and asks, "Can I join you?"

  • SpringSVG

    OOP

    I have been programming for a while now. And with that, I have developed a solid foundation in OOP. This has allowed me to learn new languages and skills without having to relearn everything.

  • SpringSVG

    Fullstack

    Whilst I'm certainly no expert. I have built CRUD applications that integrate frontend apps with back-end apps. These connect to a database and perform operations on it from the frontend.

Looking for a new developer?

Are you looking for a new, bright and ambitious developer? You have come to the right place! I'm seeking an opportunity to work as a software developer, ideally in back-end or full-stack development. Although, I am open to exploring new skills and opportunities in other development areas.
